The Dalmatian region has a very well developed network of fuel stations, water sports enthusiasts will find just about 70 gas stations along the coast that can be reached by boat. The largest petrol station network is operated by the Croatian oil and gas group INA. But also Lukoil, OMV or Crodux petrol stations are increasingly to be found. A special feature are the floating platform gas stations of Flash, which are now found in some places in Croatia.
The waiting times at the filling stations are usually short. However, things are different in high season, stations can get a bit overcrowded, especially on Fridays near the big charter marinas. Then long queues with correspondingly long waiting times are usual. It can therefore be advisable to plan accordingly and fill up on Friday early morning, provided that the route on the last day is short or can be done under sails.
During refuelling, it is always good to make sure that the counter has been reset before refuelling and to check the amount stated on the pump before paying. Ideally, one member of the crew should watch the whole refuelling process.
Below you will find an overview of local coastal gas stations on the Croatian Adriatic coast including opening times and depth. (in high season from 1 April to 30 September and may differ in low season)
Alternatively, you can let Sailing Forever technical support team to refuell for you after the boat is returned, – you will be charged in our office according to the engine hours since the last gas station visit. You will save time and avoid stressful wait in front of the station.
